Last updated: March 2026
1. Our Commitment
Dennis Svechnikovs is committed to making svechnikovs.com accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. Accessibility is a core professional value — it is embedded in the design work delivered to clients and applied equally to this website.
2. Conformance Status
I aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, as referenced by the EU Web Accessibility Directive (Directive 2016/2102) and the EN 301 549 standard.
3. Measures Taken
- Semantic HTML5 structure with a logical heading hierarchy (H1–H3)
- “Skip to main content” link present at the top of each page
- All meaningful images include descriptive
alttext; decorative images use emptyaltattributes - Colour contrast ratios target ≥ 4.5:1 for normal text and ≥ 3:1 for large text
- All interactive elements are keyboard accessible (Tab / Shift+Tab / Enter / Escape)
- Focus indicators are visible for keyboard navigation
- Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
- Form inputs are labelled; required fields are indicated; error messages are descriptive
- The cookie consent banner is keyboard navigable and screen-reader compatible
4. Known Limitations
- Some CSS animations may not respect the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query on all devices — I am working to address this - Certain custom-styled interactive components may have limited compatibility with older assistive technologies (JAWS < v2022, NVDA < 2022.1)
- Third-party scripts may introduce elements outside our direct control, I monitor their accessibility compliance
5. Technical Specifications
Technologies relied upon for accessibility: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES2020+).
Tested with: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge on desktop; NVDA (Windows) and VoiceOver (macOS/iOS) on screen readers.
6. Feedback & Contact
I welcome feedback on accessibility. If you encounter any barriers or have suggestions please contact :
7. Escalation
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate to the relevant national enforcement authority designated under the EU Web Accessibility Directive in your country.
